Feb 16 - 19. 2026  Composing a Garden Painting
Scottsdale Artists' School, Scottsdale, AZ
While setting up a still life with fresh flowers every day, Kathy will talk about composing a garden painting from start to finish.  She will bring in photo references to show examples of some large paintings and take you through all the issues you face painting from life as things change and how she solves each step.  There will be a demo each morning, emphasizing values and the importance of good drawing, and the students will paint in the afternoon with one on one instruction.

Sept. 10 - 13, 2025  A Fresh Look at Flowers
Landgrove Inn, Landgrove, VT
A unique workshop working with fresh flowers and produce, the goals are to learn to really see your subject and learn to simplify and get the feeling of what you are painting.  The wonderful atmosphere of the Inn where the students all stay together, sharing meals and great conversation makes this a very special workshop.
